Twilio Pricing 2026: Voice, SMS & API Costs
Pricing checked September 3, 2026. Primary vendor references: Twilio US Messaging pricing and Twilio US Voice pricing. Twilio's country selector and current rate cards remain authoritative because destination, number type, carrier, features and contract terms can change the final cost.
Twilio uses pay-as-you-go pricing, but the total is not one flat API rate. Messaging is billed by segment and destination, voice has separate inbound and outbound rates, and phone numbers, carrier fees, registration, and optional features can add to the bill.
Current US starting rates: SMS over long codes is $0.0083 per sent or received segment before carrier and registration fees. Local voice is $0.0140 per minute outbound or $0.0085 inbound, and a local number is $1.15 per month. Toll-free inbound voice is $0.0220 per minute and a toll-free number is $2.15 per month. These are components of a bill, not a single all-in Twilio price.
